Kelly Richardson

Kelly has always had a love for dance and music. Her mother enrolled her in a ballet class at age 3, and she continued until she felt jazzy during her teen years. She transferred into jazz and tap classes while in high school, and was always on the dance floor at parties doing the latest hot moves to electronica and early hip hop. More recently, she has studied Flamenco dance for the past 5 years, belly dance for two years, and has had instruction in Classic Indian Dance, Irish Dance, West Coast Swing, Ballroom, and Afro-Cuban dance.
Kelly's introduction to salsa happened at a company holiday party for a corporate job where she worked full-time, and although she loved the rhythms and movements, she did not indulge until several years later when her co-worker invited her to attend Isabelle's classes at Casa Escobar every Sunday night. It was then that Kelly's salsa fever developed. She enrolled in Isabelle's Level 4 class and joined Isabelle's team, "Llego el Sabor". Since then, she has performed with Isabelle's team at dance events from Los Angeles to Dallas to Puerto Rico to Hawaii. She desired to teach people the love of the dance and began to train under the auspices of Isabelle in the spring of 2007.
Kelly is a highly energetic and enthusiastic instructor who clearly explains the steps and movements while keeping it light and fun. She is now a regular Level 1 teacher at the place where she started, Casa Escobar, and teaches private lessons every weekend.
