Congratulations to all the dancers.
From left to right: Greg & Sheila, Sara, Coco Baran who danced the lead role as a "male" and re-choreographed the tango piece 10 days...Ricky & Sara danced the Cha Cha Tango together and then Ricky finished up the lead Salsa section with me. Last but not the least, of course Kelly and Rob the most comedic couple in the team.
This routine was a big colaborative effort of a lot of people, while I was going through my strugles with the Mammoth House. Without all of these people involved, it could have never happen. So a HUGE THANK YOU to all and each of you.

This Tuesday Advanced "performance oriented" class, (although is not required that you perform), is now inviting new students who want to get out of their "rout comfort zone at level 3" and challenge themselves to move up to an advanced level 4. You must commit for at least "six weeks of your life" to see results. This is a big requirement for this class as I need your continuance to learn advanced choreography.
I would like you to think of this series as a luxury semi private SMALL Class.

CLASS FORMAT for our LEVEL 3 onto Level 4 CLASS:
First hour:
A pre-set warm-up, that repeats every week so that everybody gets to master all the necessary components which are: One and a half turns to the right and to the left as well as double spins. Footwork that is rhythmically challenging in that we have accent,and syncopations to deal with as well as rhythmic changes. Shines are to be executed on the balls of your feet with body motion and cadence. We learn spinning technique and spotting exercises to improve everyones turns. Second hour: Advanced partnering salsa combinations, with a few tricks . The great news, is that you get to revisit all these combinatiosn week after week. So in the first week you learn a combo, then you come back and we review it. That is good for the guys for memory purpose and great for the ladies to implement "LADIES STYLING" This is the class, that some of my
dancers on my team are also taking. You have seen the results! They worked really hard to get to this level, and we plan to keep on moving up. Up to the challenge? Join us now on Tuesdays, for an incredible journey of some serious studying for incredible rewards.

This Friday Social will feature Kelly at Level 1 and Reiko for level 2 & 3 and then, on Sunday... WE are celebrating Reiko's Birthday . IT is time to bring "Casa" down with the traditional birthday dance. All men dance with Reiko...worth turning a year older.. ha.

We as a Dance Company, would like to come and entertain your private party or event. We can come perform one of our routines in the form of a show , and/or invite your guest into a participatory type dance class where I would lead the crowd into some basic moves, and then the rest of the company would dance with your guest.
On my home page, now you can see the best moments of our "Mambo-Tango" routine that was featured at the World Largest Salsa Congress here in Los Angeles.
"LLego el Sabor, Dance Company" which means "The FLAVOR has arrived" inspired by Oscar de Leon's song, is our name, intent and mission. These determined, enthusiastic, committed, talented and brave dancers, are challenging themselves to explore within themselves and with one-another, ALL that it takes and what is involved in growing as dancers.
We want to deliver and share with people, more than steps, patterns and combinations. We want to share our "sabor" (flavor) that we feel when we do this fun, sexy and impertinent dance.

I finally nailed it. I am so excited to be offering all 3 levels at Casa. It is really working up a charm. 3 instructors and 3 very different levels. Come and experience the difference for yourself.
You must show up at 7:15pm for registration as it gets pretty crowded, or you can use paypal on line and get just your name tag over there. Class will start at 7:30pm.
After 9:00pm it is FREE OF CHARGE open dancing and the wild party starts. Come join us to dance, have fun and embrace a new week coming in. You can come alone and meet all the other students and practice your moves...wherever you are today., you are not alone.
